Have you all seen the SB epi. "Grandma's Kisses"?

It is now my all time favourite.

Of course, it's because it's:

1) An older Spongebob episode

2) Made into a hilarious youtube parody

3) I'll tell you why below.

A day ago, the episode was re-running on the channel here in Canada that shows all the Nick shows. I have 5th lunch, so I go home around 2:40 and watch cartoons before doing my physical geography, AV fashion and college math homework. I hate homework. -_-

Soooo Spongebob comes on at 4:00, and I ALWAYS watch it (hoping it's a re-run and not a new episode, like 'fungus among us'---slightly older, but still new and totally disgusting....)

And I noticed that "Grandma's Kisses" was the epi. they decided to re-run.

I'm cool with that. Haven't seen it for awhile.

Anyway, I LOOOVE this episode.

Why, do you ask?

Because it WAS a classic, frame-by-frame sort of thing.

What bothers me with the newer cartoons today is that it's 10 x easier to make them. You don't just draw every single frame, but instead you drag parts of the character around and the computer animates the in-between stuff.

I hate that.

Anyway, besides the fact that this entire episode made me ROFLMAO'ing, (like his sideburns, or the way he talks, and when he wants his grandma's attention back), I LOVE his sweater. Or grandma's sweater. When he puts it on, little hearts float around him and his arms swing back and forth like a hyper 3-year old.

It's heart-wrenching-ly ADORABLE.

PLUS, I think the entire episode is full of EVERY kind of emotion that you could EVER see, and the most I've seen in Spongebob for a very, very long time.

Examples, BIGGG anime eyes, Huge smile, a big display of tears (waterfall, filling the house, etc), blushing, love, hate, anger, betrayl, maturity, depression, anxiety, greed, wants and needs, etc etc.

THIS is what spongebob is all about.

And I miss it.

I encourage you to re-watch "Grandma's Kisses" and you will totally see what I mean!
